When people ask me how Fairwells Jewelry began, I usually smile because honestly—it’s been in me since I was a little girl. I’ve always had an eye for jewelry and a love for being creative, so making things with my hands just came naturally. It’s also a way for me to stay home, to have the freedom to be present with my family, instead of working somewhere else. Fairwells became the perfect blend of those dreams—letting me create pieces that carry meaning, while also building a life I truly love.
The name Fairwells was born from that childhood love. It combines “fair,” which is derived from Jennifer, meaning “fair one” combined with “wells,” a nod to both wishing wells and my maiden name. To me, it’s more than a business name—it’s a reflection of who I am, the things I hold dear, and the heart I put into my work.
From Dream to She Shed
What started in 2013 as a small creative outlet has grown into something much bigger than I ever imagined. I now create every piece by hand in my She Shed studio—my happy place tucked in the backyard, where the tools, textures, and sparkle of metal and stone come together to form something new. It’s not just a workshop; it’s where I pray, dream, and pour my heart into each piece.
I often say each piece is made “with well wishes,” and I mean that quite literally. As I work, I think about the person who might wear it—the mom stacking rings to represent her kids, the young woman finding confidence in her first “big girl” piece of jewelry, the friend giving a necklace as a gift of encouragement. Jewelry, for me, has always been about connection.
Jewelry With Intention
I don’t believe jewelry should just be pretty—it should be meaningful. That’s why so much of what I create carries messages of encouragement and faith. My Hidden Message Cuffs let people wear quiet reminders close to them, while the I AM necklaces serve as affirmations worn daily. These aren’t just accessories; they’re small reminders of strength, hope, and beauty.
My faith plays a big part in why I do what I do. On the hard days, I lean on God and trust that He’s guiding me. On the good days, I celebrate the blessing of being able to do something I love while serving others through it.
Giving Back
Another piece of my “why” is giving back. Mental health awareness is close to my heart, which is why a portion of all proceeds goes to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Jewelry is my craft, but kindness is my calling, and this is one way I can help spread hope and light beyond my studio.
What It Means to Me
At the end of the day, Fairwells Jewelry is so much more than a business to me. It’s a dream that grew into something I get to share with the world. It’s a way to create with my hands, to stay present with my family, to pour meaning into everyday life, and to connect with people in such a personal way. Every ring, necklace, or bracelet carries a little piece of my heart, and I’m so thankful that I get to share that with you.
